Al has left his guideboat in Baie-Saint-Paul on the St. Lawrence, and is currently on a bus back to Montreal and from there on to Lake George to be with a very good friend whose mother has just entered hospice.
He reports that Baie-Saint-Paul is absolutely beautiful, but be sure not to arrive in a boat at low
tide. He had to drag his boat a quarter of a mile through the mud to get to the marina. He spent yesterday catching up on sleep and cleaning the mud off everything.
