July 7, 2014 - Checking in from the boat

Al checked in while still in the boat, afraid he may not have a cell signal tonight.

He got a late start this morning after a productive map review with new friend Gerard. So far Al's racked up 18 miles on a flat river in the pouring rain.  The views are beautiful, even in the rain, and he plans to keep rowing until dark.
